The Mk3 Ford Focus RS could very well be the last RS model we see from Ford, which is a real shame. Recently, I’ve been advising my customers to buy one of these, as their prices are currently at rock bottom and are set to rise, making them a worthy investment. This particular customer is a professional golfer with a collection of Ford RS vehicles. We restored his Mk1 Focus RS a few years ago, so now it’s time to make his Mk3 look just as good.
The Mk3 involves a lot more work, with additional framework, twice as many driveshafts, a prop shaft, and a rear diff unit, which explains the slight price increase. Believe it or not, the Mk3 can be worse for corrosion on suspension components compared to the other Focus RS models, which is surprising considering there’s a 14-year gap between the Mk1 and Mk3 RS’s. Nonetheless, we’re up for the challenge and excited to bring this Mk3 back to its former glory.
